Phase Two - Detailed Implementation Planning
Are your dreams, ideas, potential and vision for the business going astray?
This is where our Detailed Implementation Planning lays the groundwork to get them happening.
Having just invested your time and money in Business Evaluation and High-Level Planning, we find implementation remains the next challenge. To effectively implement your your objectives, your High-level Planning needs to be extended in detail.
Extending your plan to include a practical set of strategies, targets or goals happens in this phase. It establishes the plan as your core planning document for management decision making.
Let's look at the four key perspectives that are at play and how they affect each other:
-
Your Financial Perspective covers your cost structure, increasing earning capacity or leveraging your hourly yield and expanding revenue opportunities. Budgets and forecasting with Key Performance Indicators are developed as evolving measurement comparatives. Reporting disciplines including cash flow and profitability are agreed.
-
Your Client Perspective from a client value standpoint (What's in it For Them). Developing Marketing Action Plans is the key to effectively generating new business. This planning feeds directly into the leads or prospects forecasted as your sales, validating your Financial Perspective. With professional service businesses we implement our Fast Track to More Clients programme in this planning phase.
- Your Internal Business Perspective includes your operations and management process, customer service and delivery and innovation / R&D. Any developments and initiatives in this regard have effect through to all other perspectives.
-
Your Learning and Growth Perspective includes your own and your team's professional and skill development and the businesses information systems, databases and infrastructure. Again, planning in this area is directly linked to the planning in the three other Perspectives; often driven by them.
The planning in all four perspectives are inexorably linked.
I'm sure you have seen Strategic Business Plans which are never referred to after they are filed. This plan is different. As mentioned above, it forms the core planning document for your management decision making. Every time you are working on the business it is updated and evolves.
We base our Phase Three Programmes on this planning to keep you on track. |
