#5 - More Than a Bookkeeper, We Helped Identify How The Client Should Expand into The Financial Controlling Space.
Our initial engagement with the client entailed our in-depth Diagnostics, S.W.O.T and High-level Planning.
We explored the scope of his franchise bookkeeping services and the potential for increasing net yield in time billing. The challenge lay in the success of the client - already a top performer in the franchise group he operates under. He just did not have enough hours in the day, and bookkeeping has fee ceilings.
It became apparent that the client's extensive tertiary management qualifications (an MBA), strategic financial analysis skilling and international experiance opened up other service channels well beyond just bookkeeping.
Positioning the business in the outsourced Financial Controlling space became obvious. Not only did this strategy open up opportunities for additional services but elevated the contribution our client can make to management and boards of his clients.
We are now looking at a comprehensive programme to market our client's new services, an ideal application of Fast Track To More Clients.
Initial market feedback indicates the new services, correctly packaged and delivered, justify a fee base increase of at least 66%. A move from time billing to retainer and value based fees is also planned.
